Crusader Kings III

Godherja: The Dying World
Dark Fantasy? Where is the grim?
While the lore is pretty grim and shattered world is visible on the map, there is no grim and darkness reflected on the gameplay.

Megapolises, thriving cities, everything is a possibility. Having a megapolis and living in prosperous enviroment does not look grim.

Liches and fogers? They get their ♥♥♥♥ kicked by AI kingdoms each playthrough.

Magic being described as the ultimate weapon and mages described as able to build empires from nothing

Reality: None of the spells are that good or can turn the tide of anything, if you are poor you will stay poor, even if you can spawn gold and sometimes die in the process.

The last but not least are the artifacts. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I found Aksiothea skull (Sorry if mispronounced, playing in russian), one of the most powerful mages in existance....What does the skull provide? Plus 0,1 piety and 0,2 prestige, bruh. You could atleast added some aspects to hint that some power still resides in her bones.

You literally have the world with the eclipse event from Berzerk, but there is no endication of the doom or end of the world, everyone just carries on...

I love the world and the soundtrack, but I really miss the grim and darkness of the dying world.
