Opinions on starting a Patreon
Hey everyone, I am considering starting a Patreon but I haven't decided yet.

If I start a patreon and depending on the goals we reach I can focus on bringing more features to Advanced Cheat Menu, more quickly.

Features like editing cultural traditions, revamp of artifact menu, a menu for forced marriages etc.

But these are time consuming big features.

Patrons will get access to dev blogs and sneak peeks of features, and depending on their support they would be able to suggest me features, and if they are feasible I will focus on implementing them.

No build will be behind a pay wall as the policy of Paradox Interactive.

I want to hear your opinions about this. Would you support such a thing? How much you are willing to give for such a support?

This would be interesting, I might support if it came to fruition. There's a lot of features and mechanics that you can't really "cheat" in CK3 atm, and no mods for it either.

I wish I could support but I've got bills to pay and mouths to feed. All of you who have contributed to all of our games, I salute you. This freedom to alter all of our experiences in a game that is kept alive by you modmasters, it's amazing. Best wishes to you all.

Yes, do it. Make multiple tiers of patrons if possible, from $0.99 to $49.99. The more expensive tiers should give perks like guaranteed feature requests.

I can't really give guaranteed feature requests because I am constrained by what game allows me to do.

Like people many times requested gender change, which is not possible by the script that is exposed to us. (I mean it is possible in a very janky way, like copying your characters skills, traits, dna into a new character with different gender. But at that point it is not really your old character and I don't know how it will break relations etc.)

This request is an example though, there would be many things that I can't do on the feasibility grounds or because they would break compatibility with other mods etc. Compatibility is a huge reason behind Advanced Cheat Menu.

That's okay.

What you do in that case is simply tell your Patreons: "hey, this feature you requested is impossible because it's hardcoded by paradox. But I really appreciate your support, so if you have another idea, let me know and I'd be happy to give it a try."
