Finding Vampires in torpor as a Revenant.
Looking to get some 4th gen vampires as a Revenant, whenever I go look for one i'm forced to kill them? Why can't I recruit them/imprison them?

On the wiki it says there's a mechanism to capture torpor'd vampires using mesmerize etc however I have not figured out how to do so. The vast majority of options are not possible with the reason being that the target is under torpor (the only option I have basically is to go find them).

Only vampires can recruit torpored vampires instead of killing them. Adding revenants as a possibility for that makes sense, so I will add it to my to do list.

Good to know! One more question if that's alright; what determines a characters "mental defenses" in terms of herdifying or summoning? As far as I can tell it isn't related to generation or blood potency, or even skills. Possibly it is related to prowess, but when I lower their prowess using skills etc it doesn't appear to make them vulnerable?

A vampire has strong mental defenses if they have either dominate advanced, presence advanced or auspex advanced. Non vampires characters have some other pre requisites that I don't remember at the top of my head, mostly perks or lifestyles as well.

OK thanks, it also seems that fortitude advanced blocks it as well based on a quick trial and error search in the game for who can and can't be herdified.
