You need to be Fallen (posessing a mortal), not Earthbound (posessing an artifact/county). Then babies that will be counted as your children and have lahim/nephelim trait will magically appear sometimes. Don't know what the chance is based on, though - possibly, your vessel's fertility. Also not sure if you need to have a vessel of opposite gender, or if it doesn't matter. You can have several at a time, apparently.
To change the type of posession from Earthbound to Fallen you need to have "Abandon Vessel" perk in Arcana tree. Just pause, right-click on you portrait, click "Abandon Vessel", right-click on a thrall and press "Demonic Posession". You can become Earthbound again by right-clicking on your portrait and selecting "Demonic Posess (object/place)".
