The GCW only start on a canon-map (small/mid/large). It requires the republic loyalists to become the Rebel Alliance and it can only fire when you are in the midgame.

Just had something similar happen. The Rebel Alliance chain didn't start for me at all. I'm wondering if they're related?

I had the same, never triggered on the canon mid map. Was playing as CorSec and got to the end-game with it never triggering.

I've also had no Rebel alliance chain fire when playing as the Mandalorians, there have been a several wars between me and the Empire. The Empire has fought several wars against its neighbours. The Republic loyalists also had a brief war with the Empire, one which ended with the transfer of a couple of systems to the Empire.

So, as a possible workaround, would it be possible to use the console to trigger the first event in the chain? (and, would that jumpstart it?)

Im currently playing as the Galactic Empire and i got the Rebel alliance event before i even found the republic Loyalist (or maybe didn't realise that i did). This is on a sandbox large map.

Well, as for my prespective, the rebels have no right to declear on my benevolent empire. No slavery, No taxes, nothing the empire actualy did. Just peace, stability and ofc. the largest military ever (even Venators are included in my fleets, unlike what the empire did)(Sad that we dont get the Aclamator 2, Fanmade Venator 2 or the Secutor1 and 2 class ingame yet(Maybe both of the aclamator and venator via tech later so you can switch to them like for the Ion Dreadnought (wich is nice. a capable early to mid tier ship with lower costs then ISD's).

So if you dont have supression etc. it should be disabled completly. Or do you imagine Bail and Mothma declear on what is basicaly the republic with the only difference that it now has a standing military?

New game started after the patch. Playing as the empire, large canon map, large alliance start, 8071. The civil war still has not started. The republic loyalist are still loyalists, not rebels. The first death star and my million or so fleet strength are moving on hapes as there's only hapes, the hutts and the loyalists left (and their allies) and we're bored. Second death star half done. Double checked mid game date wasn't changed at game start.

I'm having the same problem here. It could be that I'm missing dlc's but the mod's supposed to work without all of the them. For reference, playing as the loyalists and have already completed the Rebel alliance traditions.

i think same here. i have turned into the rebels but the war against the empire hasn't started.

Could be something to do with the Cantina Stories? I noticed that after I turned them off, I've not been getting anything at all, not even missions to research un-indentified aliens transiting my system.

I had the civil war event before the mid game but without it triggering the war and arrived at the mid game nothing happened and I can no longer make a claim on the planets. Do you have the code for the civil war event?
