some of the ideas that I'll list here are from the comments section for the mod.

Using some of the treasures to make special weapons (or armor)

Having some of the treasures being items that quest giving npcs could ask for and reward you with a loot bag from the mod.

more spell tomes. The ones that are in are really good and useful (especially the healing and energy zone tomes) I just think that having more tomes would be a good idea. Would like to see some new spells added in if you ever figure out how to pull that off. I.E. a spell tome that does something like a Chain Lightning effect.

Maybe add in some special bows if possible and more weapons in general because the game doesn't have enough of those as is.
I kinda feel like the spawnrates are a bit high. I just created a character, looted the mine, went to the outpost and already have +11000 pixels. I feel like this makes making pixels a bit too easy. Could the spawn rates be turned down a bit to make it feel more rewarding?

@that one internet foxxo Sorry, I messed up the numbers for the spawn rates and never noticed, they were supposed to be more rare. Fixed now.
Thanks. I was finding them so commonly. Take a stack of 5 crates. There would be at least two in there.
Maybe the rare racial treasures could unlock new crafting recipes on pickup? For some ideas, the Novakid Brandy could unlock a Novakid Brandy food item, the Human Data-Disk unlocks a prototype weapon, the Glitch Crown unlocks a special crown vanity...

i think itd be cool to have a storefront that trades items for the treasures instead of just selling them for pixels but thatd probably hard to add, another cool feature would be rare decorational trophies to find

Smuggling quests

No I don't know how to make mods I imagine it's really hard

Context: I feel like there are a lot of things in starbound that you only see one side of, like smuggling is, as far as I can tell you can't do the smuggling yourself.

But what if you could do an incredibly dangerous smuggling mission to get 90% or even %100 percent profit?

Then you would have to balance risk/reward. (I just feel like it would be more interesting)

This is in the comments quite a lot, but not in this thread: Making the items (treasures and such) placeable items to have around bases/ships.
Rare items that start/give unique quests.

A simple improvement - make those trinkets placeable, for those who'd rather display their trophies than just essentialy throw them away
Also - maybe add some trophy-like decor for story missions? Those are left awfully plain by Chucklefish, I mean, I get it that we're doing them to further the plot, but having some memento to brag about would also be nice
Maybe reduce the effects on some of the augments, some seem more op then others.
