Space Base Sci-fi 2.2 Update Notes
  1. Uploaded to the steam cloud all the missing, externally hosted assets.
  2. Fixed the issue of the hot seat mode not working correctly.
  3. Removed the tablet as requested.
  4. The text entry input for allocating resources is removed, the keypad is the primary input method for multiplayer.
  5. Display a Home icon on the camera view button of each player’s color.
  6. The camera view buttons for non-seated player colors are removed upon game start.
  7. The sector reward markers will have a grey back color for sectors with no rewards, including stations which are colonized.
  8. Added the interface to select the winning Victory Points of 40, 45 or 50. It cannot be changed after the game starts.
  9. The scores of the players are monitored and the endgame is triggered at the end of a round in which one or more players reach the winning victory points.
  10. An alert is displayed during the last round if possible, unless the player who first reaches the winning Victory Points also ends a round.
  11. If there is a tie, the game will continue additional rounds for all players until there is a winner.
  12. Trophies are awarded for the winner, player(s) with the most income and player(s) with the most on board credit. The last round must be completed for this to happen.
  13. The Shopping Cart button on the shipyard has been upgraded:
    • Left Click to buy cards (credit costs are deducted from the player).
    • Right Click to claim cards (no credit costs deduction).
  14. On either the Buy or Claim buttons of each card:
    • Left Click to auto place in the station of the card sector.
    • Right click to place it in your hand (for using an ability to place cards in a different sector).

    Items 15 to 18 apply to multiplayer mode only.

  15. A mini score board is attached to the top of each player’s keypad.
  16. A minus key is added to the player’s keypad for deducting resources (to adjust for mistakes or to lose Victory Points due to the activation of a dreadful, OP card).
  17. An additional “I’m Ready” key is activated for the passive players after a dice roll. Click on the key after finishing allocating resources for the dice roll. It is to notify the active player you are ready for the next turn. Player scores are used at the end of each turn to determine endgame, so the active player should only end the turn when all passive players are ready.
  18. The floating panel of ‘Ready’ icons appear after each dice roll. It can be dragged anywhere on the screen, a good location for it is the immediate right of the End Turn command. It cannot be precisely placed by the mod for every player due to the different screen resolutions used.
  19. A ‘Reset Credit to Income’ floating button will appear close to the End Turn command after the active player has bought a card, if the Credit and Income are different after the card cost is deducted. This is in addition to the Reset button on the player board, and also serves as a reminder to reset. If the active player uses an ability to keep the remaining credit after buying cards, the reset can be skipped. If the active player ends the turn without reseting a Credit that is lower than the Income, the reset is automatically triggered. This button can also be dragged anywhere on the screen, a good location for it is the immediate left of the End Turn command.

Finally, I have to reiterate that there is no plan to add more player boards to the mod. It was created just for 4 players and there’s too much work and redesign involved in accommodating more.

Hi Langford,
I really just came here to try and reload the game, as my calculator stopped working for no apparent reason. I'm sure it's nothing serious.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. We started playing TTS because of Covid, as a way of catching up with each other. Now, all my friends have moved on with their lives and I'm still here playing your version of Space Base with Mike (Nukembig), almost on a daily basis. I can't tell you how much we enjoy all the modifications you've made. It really has made a difference to our overall experience. There's nothing more I look forward to each day after work.
If you're ever in the neighbourhood, pop in for a game with myself and Mike. Mike's password is xxx.
