Crew Dying when Customized after a warp
I was asked for a log file for this from your comment section. I figured this would be the safest way to exchange that information without overloading the comment section.

I'm having the same problem, just installed the mod after uninstalling "Crew Customization Updated" and customized the two crew members coming with me. seems the error it throws on death is "[Error] Exception while invoking lua message handler for message 'recruit.status'. (LuaException) Error code 2, [string "/scripts/udrecruitablecompat.lua"]:173: (JsonException) Cannot convert from object to string"? here's the full log: https://pastebin.com/2fgLjgiH

Mod creator got back to me. I had "Augments" on my armor. Which this mod doesn't account for on the NPCS. So make sure if you have any of those you make new ones that don't have them.

I have the same problem when i try to click on my crew members in the menu, they just die and respawn in my ship and then i can't see their stats.

Same here, came out of nowhere too. It's been working fine up until today or yesterday, no idea what's wrong. Is it possible that the recent update broke something?

Same situation here, all what i understood from the log is that it fails to see their helth, they crash and respawn.

Must've been a bug that was dealt with before, then re-emerged after the most recent update, since this did just update recently.

I'm sorry I didn't see this threat before...
But i think the errors have been fixed as of now (24 march).
It was trying to access a resource that not everyone NPC had for everyone, so now it asks before reading.

And if anybody here still has the problem, I recommend restarting your PC, as sometimes mods don't download until you do(found that out from helping troubleshoot for my mod).
