I really like this mod as it does give you some chances to actually play through the game.

The problem is that it gives you unlimited chances without actually resetting the game to the checkpoint. Therefore allowing you to throw yourself at whatever you face until it dies - while you never will.

This goes a bit too far IMO as it removes challenge completely - your mistakes no longer matter.

It would be great if this mod offered a simple "limited lives" approach. It is something ToME (the roguelike) does, for example.
That way, it would be more lenient than the vanilla game, while still maintaining some challenge.
