He told me that the server had no pending updates and it has been several days since the problem started.

Same issue, received Fatal Errors since the update, minute I remove it, game plays fine.

Please dont hijack others threads. You have a separate issue and would be best in your own thread. Better yet, join the discord.

I am having the same issue. Says mod mismatch. Server admin says he's updated it. Others can join, but others are having issues.

One of a few things...

Either the server was NOT actually updated. And only those players on the old version can connect.

Or

The server did update. And only those players who also updated can connect.

Server owner should read their log files and check their mod files to see if the patch was a success. If not... they need to fix it their side.

For game players though... If the server is confirmed patched ok...
Restart their PC.
Clean Reinstall of Ark Mod
------------------------------
1. Stop ARK if it is running
2. Unsubscribe (or else it immediately redownloads)
3. Stop Steam
4. Remove `<ModID> folder` and `<ModID>.mod` here: < ...\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods\ >
5. Remove `<ModID> folder` here: < ...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\346110\ >
6. Restart Steam
7. Re-subscribe and wait for steam to finish downloading
8. Open ARK and let it install (wait for the “Installing” text in the bottom right corner to vanish)

Ugh! Now it keeps popping from "Starting Download..." on ARK (assuming it's trying to download SS) to "updating...0%" for a brief half second and then back to Starting Download...over and over again.

it needs updated again lol i can't get on our server
