auto save has always iffy, sometimes it works and sometime is does not. It rarely works in mid battle.

i can't load my auto save at all it is there on create save but not the load save
and it is a problem even after i tried to start a new campaign

I save middle of each week, to a new file, and recommend you do the same. Saves may go corrupt due to a number of known and lesser well known (there are theories) causes.

The autosave file (and other recent save files) not showing up simply means you have too many saves. Delete some older ones and the newer ones will show up.

Run steam.exe in admin mode (not the game, the steam client)
