Situations are destroying my Influence
Where do I find "Situations"? How do I get rid of them?

I'm losing Influence because of them and I have no idea how to fix it.

It's probably exploration situations, they appear in the outliner - if you have them turned off from a previous game you will need to turn them back on in the outliner config. Situations manage some pretty important things even in vanilla so I would recommend keeping them visible.
