I have the same problem.

By reloading the memory it does not go away, but if you completely restart the game it is gone.

I've seen a few reports of this but haven't been able to replicate it myself. Which events did it for you?

For me, it was an event involving one of my researchers. But I can't say exactly what it was about, because there was no text, only the picture of my scientist. There was also no way to close the window, you could only move it and it took half of the picture. But the game continued as normal, it didn't crash, or had any other problems. After loading memory, the problem persisted, only after restarting the game the window was gone.

Same thing is happening to my game - seems to be on random events but the last one was the event ' Warp Plasma Black Market' when I was playing as the Solum Planetary Alliance

KK, will try and get a fix in with tomorrow's patch.

Got the same huge box on a mining discontent event. Nothing seems to remove it either in a multiplayer-game.

For me it was an Obsidian Order event to investigate my Head Scientist

A few hours, tops.

I'm getting the same issue with a lot of the anti-smuggler events while playing the Terran Empire. I've had three separate "there's smuggling going on here, let's crack down on it" type events, and every single one of them has given the screen-spanning event pop-up that can't be resolved due to not being able to see the options. The first two had workarounds where I could just press the Enter button and it ended the event, but the third one - a warp plasma smuggling event - didn't have that option, apparently, which pretty much forced me to stop playing the save for the moment.
