It's kinda annoying when you play a presidential republic and want to switch one ideology for another one. You have to wait the election :/

@Zida, You can still get a coup, it just required >50% support and triggers with a mean time to happen of 70 days.

Hi I know this is necroing an old thread but you can force change your system of Gov with a console command to anyone who wants to still do this. You use the command add_ideas . You will need to also use the command debug to get the key word of the gov type you want to switch too for example add_ideas government_system_imperial . That is for the imperial gov type
