Eeveelutions are in the works!
First of all, thank you to everyone who decided to subscribe to this little mod of mine. I didn't expect to grow as fast as it is. It really means a lot that my first mod is favored by a lot of people! That being said, I'm working on the first 3 Eeveelutions!

After some talk in the Binding of Isaac Discord, these 3 Eeveelutions will be in the form of transformations after picking up a Fire, Water, or Thunder Stone. The items themselves do nothing, so the transformation will hold the abilities. These stones will also be exclusive to showing up in runs when playing as Eevee, and you can only collect one.

The only things I'm not sure of is what the abilities of the transformations will be and how the stones will show up. That's why I've created this discussion. Go ahead and suggest! The simple thing to do would be copy pasting Fire Mind, Aquarius, and some tech item for effects and the regular Treasure Pool for the stones, but I want to hear any unique ideas you all have!

EDIT: I've created the effects for Flareon and Vaporeon, and know how the stones will show up. Please suggest ideas for Jolteon's effects and of course the other eeveelutions.

EDIT 2: Each Eeveelution's effects have been finished! I just need to create costumes and figure out how to save the transformation data upon exiting the run/game and reentering.

You could get Umbreon from picking up 3 devil items and Espion from picking up 3 angel items.

Well, only Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon require items in order to evolve, as per their respective stones. I wouldn't just want to slap a Dusk and Sun Stone for Umbreon and Sylveon. Obviously I can't implement friendship, so something else will be done for them. However the Angel/Devil room idea will definitely come into play in some form.

I dont have any ideas for getting the stones but i do got ideas for the eeveelution effects
Jolteon could shoot tech that if it hits a enemy it ill try and hit the nearest enemy but has a bit of low accuracy

Flareon could shoot a flaming ball with great size and great speed slowly becoming tinier and less damage like proptosis but slower

Vaporeon could shoot a laser of water that gives high knockback but less damage

Hm...unsure of how I’d code accuracy but I’m sure it exists somewhere, likely in the form of spread. Vaporeon’s laser of water sounds interesting but that’d be quite the thing to code. Flareon however might as well just be Proptosis and Fire Mind., and I’m actually thinking of doing something much more interesting. Thanks for the suggestion!

Nah that'd be way too easy and you'd end up getting those transformations every single run.

You could have the slyveon evolution occur if the player maxes out their health with red hearts.

What if after a set number of floors, say 3, the game examines your stats. And which one you evolve into depends on your stats? More damage being flareon, more range being vaporeon, etc.

This would need to be adjusted to make them work properly though.

As of right now I've already decided on how Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon will work. Simply put, you're going to fnd the Fire, Water, and Thunder Stone in the Shop item pool. You can only encounter them if you're playing as Eevee. Once you collect one, the others will disappear from the pool. I have also finished my idea for Flareon's effect, but not Vaporeon and Jolteon (though they may be much simpler to do).

Edit: I think your mod is so great, it would be a joy having the different eeveelutions as their own characters!
