Status Update from Benny
The mod has, unfortunately, been cancelled for the foreeable future. There has been a lot of work put into the mod since the Repentance demo's last update, but due to mental health issues, I cannot comfortably continue development. Having a second coder on the team or me returning to the mod after a long break are candidates for un-cancelling the mod, but there is no guarantee that either of these will happen. I want nothing more than to work on this mod, it's just more than I can bare, especially if it were to ever release and the reception it would receive. Thank you for the support on the mod regardless.

It's Eevee!
Isaac's Mom is closing in as Isaac finds a trapdoor to the Basement, hidden under his rug. Too terrified to risk surviving the fall or breaking his precious legs, he sends his trusty Pokémon, Eevee, down to kill Mom for him!

Features:
  • A New Character: Eevee!
  • 5 Currently Available Eeveelutions, each with unique sprites, sounds, special abilities, synergies, method of evolution, and so on!
  • Vitamin items, one for each stat!
  • A PC, named the VeeC, spawned at the start of every floor which holds any information you'd need to know on the mod!

Appreciate it, doctah, though I dunno why you didn't just go with the response you left on the Rep version. It would be inaccurate to say on hiatus. Maybe indefinite hiatus, maybe truly cancelled, I don't have any plans to return to the mod right now and I doubt another coder will ever come forward. I went ahead and added my own statement directly in the description.

Update: The mod's creator has shared a post that explains what had been going on in his life the week he decided to cancel this mod. https://longer.blue/posts/uI8gQp5z5p

He mentions that he's likely going to return to this mod after a long break, but is willing to un-cancel it early if he can find an experienced and reliable coder to assist him. In that sense, the mod is less "canceled" and more "on hiatus".

God damn it... this mod was the only reason why I bought this game to begin with...

A mixture of both. The project is very personal and I doubt a single capable coder would actually want to pick up the mod. Otherwise I would've gotten that coder already while I was still working on it myself.

do you not want to transfer the mod because you just don't want to? or can you, but there's just no one to do it? why not just give some developer the right to edit this mod, but you will still remain its creator, as many companies do it?

If you're not working on this mod anymore, are you at least willing to give the source code to someone else so they can finish it? (Not me, obviously. I'm just here because a fully playable Eevee sounded like fun.)
