Okay. so. im in 1940 an i havent even begun to choose between Facsist, Communist and non allinged. and this is waaaaaaaay too late. ww2 has broken out and i cant do anything.

270 days for "cut British overlordship" and "Politcal shift" is too long, and the events following Political shift should start much sooner (perhaps 2 months after the completion.) and should be a month or less apart.

EDIT: I have also been without an active Focus for a good year or more just waiting on the event popups.

EDIT 2: It got to 1941 march 22nd and i got bored. a total of 2 events.

I think I know what the problem is on the code, I will test now and try to fix it. Did you choose an ideology after that and done the focus related to removing the bad political system? If any of those, do you remember if some events (apart from the ones of Political Shift) fired?

I never got an option to remove the bad spirit, and i never got along to choosing a ideology. In the two pop ups i got it was something like pick either comunisum, facism or democratic.

Yes, that answers it. You will get the option of removing the bad spirit with one of the focuses after the ideology pick, I was just getting sure about you having or not picked that option because of the number of focus being fired. Thanks. It is fixed by the way

We should be able to cancel it.
I've just had to start a whole new game because i clicked on it by accident.

I tried to do that before, but the game does not allow to do that because a chain of events depends on its progression, afaik.
Maybe on the last update they "fixed" that, I will check it when I update the mod to the last version
