The Globaura spawns in prism and glow biomes across the universe. Its gooey membrane functions as a full 360 degree eye, as well as a light source. This membrane is hypersensitive to light feedback, and as such, they peruse the night skies in search of small microbes to absorb, as they can't properly locate its food in the daylight. It is unknown where they disappear to in the daytime. Physically, they are very weak to predation, but if they spot a threat, they will boldly throw themselves at an enemy in attempt to shoo it away from the Globaura's territory. As a warning to other Globaura, it will mark its target with a glowing powder that allows them to easily see the threat.

Multiple species of Globaura exist across the universe, all emitting different colors, but for some reason only one species will become dominant in a single ecosystem.
