Anyways -- on my dedicated server -- I get the message "Text HUD API was not detected!" about 60 times a second. My cross_hair.log is up to almost 10 million lines :-D

This is with Torch 1.3.1.100-master and SE server 01_193_103.
And it looks like my mod (1696120479) was updated Jan 5 around 5:37pm EST (not sure how to give you version info on the mod).
Let me know what I can do to help you debug and fix.
As for multiplayer -- I'm a backend developer (and a Space Engineers server host for around 4 years now) and I'm happy to test and help you debug any of your work if you need a QA person.
I will follow up with results after I test.
Not sure how your users would feel about being guinea pigs though? :P
