Are you playing with or without ACE3? Sabot rounds won't detonate a tank with ACE3 running. It will penetrate and kill crew and hit important areas of the tank (i.e. if you aim at the back, it will hit the engine, aim at where the gun joins the turret and you will knock it out etc... Run without ACE3 and the M60 is just as destructible as anything else. Attempting to balance armour with both RHS and ACE3 running is nigh impossible due to them using their own armour systems overlapping.
