New Character or Import one? Different answers on the forum.
1) "Be advised - the module is not properly balanced for the default character (Jake) or a new character, you should import a leveled up character."

2) "If you are importing a character, expect an easy time of the fights. You will not have access to your gear. I recommend against this because you really won't get the proper feel for the game."

For my experiences so far, the default or new character option is fine for most of the game at first. But the game is still a heavy work in progress and so the later bit can be unbalanced in the game's favour.

As a whole, it's fine to play the game with a new character, unless you just want to breeze right through and enjoy the effort and attention to detail that's been put into this remake.

I didn't realize I contradicted myself, silly me. It would probably be best if I simply said "Be advised, this game is not balanced yet".

You will need to work at some points of the mod, but I suggest either a new or the default character. I have since adjusted things so they don't die straight off.
