Napoleon’s warmongering at the turn of the century painted the borders of today. His ousting Post-Trafalgar, was soon followed by the Great War in 1901. Due to Italy's newly revolutionary Republican government deposing the King, the various monarchies surrounding this new "Italian Republic" invaded, causing the worst war ever to grace mankind. This war was said to be the last, as the death and destruction caused by the new developments of Aircraft and Machine Guns left Europe in a state of pure shock, with the only true "victor" being Italy, which managed to achieve unification although at the cost of thousands of Italian's blood, and the north of Italy being ravaged by a war to end all wars. After years of war exhaustion, many revolts swept through Europe. From the Polish uprising that surprisingly managed to withstand the German charge, to the crumbling of the Russian Empire into that of a nation of rebellions. The Social Democratic Party Of Russia, now renamed the Communist party of the SSR has made an uneasy pact with nationalist movement of Kievan Rus in effort to fight against the Tsar and his weak crown, starting the duel-revolution in 1936 and sending the Tsarist regime into a shattered retreat.

After this, the world is left to rebuild from the distorted rubble. Italian nationalism skyrocketed after the wars due to both the massive political gains and the loss of so many, but Austria had other intentions for the boot of Europe. After three failed attempts of invasion, the political turmoil broke up the fragile multicultural empire in 1935. Austria, now standing alone against its former subject, is desperately trying to find allies in this uneasy situation. They are clinging to all the territory they can, but are slowly losing ground. Italy has capitalized on the fall of the empire, and made a pact of non-aggression with Austria in exchange for Venice, which will stay demilitarized as the part of the treaty. France is left to rebuild its exhausted nation, England stalls, and the United States declaring it's self as the Bastion of Democracy, one is left to wonder who will receive the great spoils of victory in the coming war.
