You just enter the control room, and hold the ignition key. If the key doesn't turn you're probably you advanced mode. This is not advanced. You have to leave advanced mode and try again.

its a thing before 1.0. advanced has infinite fuel/electric off, and normal has it on.
things have changed since 1.0 came out so you might want to play catch up by watching people on youtube like Mr NJ.

when spawned in it has a bank of engines not connected up and none of the propellers have any thrust inputs from said engines or motors either, no idea how it's supposed to fly
