Did the game crash? if so try playing it in 32 bit.

I only run in 32 bit mode at the moment.
I beieve that the issue had to do with botched Wokshop items. I had several there and this particular one when added had strange characters when viewed in the game menu. Even after removing and reloading I tried again but the same error happened. Then trying a different item the game decided to fail to load with the complete crash...Simply had to remove all subscribed items and re-install Train Sim 2019 followed by adding his item. After tha it ran like a charm. Guess I have to make sure I have only a few items loaded from the workshop at any time.

Wow, Do you clear your cache from time to time?

Not sure if I had done that. All I can recall is that anytime I got into this game crashing thing I had to bite the bullet, remove, clean and re-install. It had not happened for quite a while as I was being careful in how many items were added and to not try to install multiple workshop items during any one workshop session. I have a full backup (not using the Steam backup) of the clean install that I can use to refresh if things go West.
By the way this scenario was very nice. Plenty of greenery and eye candy.
