I dont think ACE has a thirst mechanic..... are you using the Archipeligo mod, or some other one? (if Im thinking right, you need to make a well, and have it harvisted to get water
)

Thirst was a different mod, my bad. But how do I use water for crops and stuff?

Didn't play for a week, but last time, you need to surround the crops with water. I cheesed it and just deployed a wet stone. I love the game, but I only have a laptop so the game inevitably slows down at 30 hearthlings and it takes too much time to gather water and train units against monsters.
