check to see if "job" is ticked under the villager menu?

Yes the box is checked for jobs. So your not having this problem?

normally the default is combat healer? Right now all he does is haul materials.

Just figured out the one villager can't take on a job. He was the cleric but something weird happening with him. idk... I tried changing the job but he still wouldnt keep it. So he is now a worker with cleric cloths.
