There's a new official rulebook for STA on GF9's website! Both Borg and the standard rulebook. Lots of clarifications. A few nerfs (Ferengi and Cardassians).

That's a big nerf!
I can't believe they meant that, but once more, made a mistake here.

And p37 bottom right is terribly written too:
Note: The Romulan’s Suspicious special rule requires them to
Exhaust all Trade Agreements when they receive one or have
one they hold exchanged for another. This forces them to wait a
turn until they benefit from the Agreement.

This reads as if they have to exhaust ALL TA they hold whenever they get a new one. Not just exhaust the one they just got.

Any news on fixing hotseat issues?

Hi James. Regarding Hotseat, choose single-player instead. The game tracks turns independent of TTS, and multiple people can share a terminal. If it's an easy fix to get TTS hotseat to match the scripted turns, I'll try adding it.

Hi James, I tested Hotseat a bit tonight and it's not really viable with TTS. Hotseat sort of works, but it always adds the "End Turn" button which isn't helpful, and it can get out of sync with the scripts turn order. Choosing Single Player is the best way to play with multiple people on 1 PC for this mod. I'm adding a feature that simulates hotseat if it detects only 1 player. This will basically change your player color to the current faction's Turn and rotate the screen to face from the current player's area (like hotseat does).

Did you include the - most likely false - nerf for the Cardassian special rule?

The new book now says Cardis don't get _any_ resources if they don't have a ship in orbit, instead of only production (which should be the correct rule).

Hi. I have not added that yet. I'll add it as an option, because I think it's a mistake. I also need to add the rule that you don't lose command tokens for exhausted advancements.

Okay. I'm 95% sure it was a mistake and 100% sure it is a stupid change.

I added an option to play with the nerfed Cardassian Occupation, where no resources are generated unless there's a Cardassian ship in orbit. I also updated the game engine to not remove Command Tokens for Exhausted Advancements, per the new rules.

I seriously think that the new rules were not meant to nerf the races. The new rulebook did a bad job in writing i think.

I whole heartedly agree. Both the Cardassian console and rule pamphlet both specify that only Production is prevented. The updated rulebook uses the term "resource". I think instead of calling it old rule VS new rule, I'll change the setup prompt to original vs nerf.
