Hi DracoDruid.
All the fanmade rules are included in the rulebook on the table. You'll see some indexing buttons near the rulebook that organize it. The Final Frontier rules are from Martin, and pre-date the new "The Final Frontier" expansion from GF9. They just happen to be named the same.
If you want to play with the new rules, for now, just ignore the turn tracker and have everyone take their turns in the new turn order. You can re-order the turn order cards and the script will follow that order. You could use the turn order tracker to track the command phase if you re-order the turn order cards, but you can also just click through all the turns to get to the next phase.
I'm waiting for the new box to arrive before I go any further on development. I know the rules are out, but without the assets I would probably end up guessing and having to re-do a lot of things later.

Heya @DevKev!
I just started your mod since some time now and saw an option for "Final Frontier Mini-Expansion".
I was hoping this would introduce the new Turn Order Structure, but sadly not.
Actually, I couldn't figure out what it actually does at all?
Could you shed some light to the different Rules Options that aren't from the official Rulebook?
Is there a readme or something?

Quite genuinely one of the most brilliant scripted games I've seen on TTS, genuinely an achievement DevKev. However, I think I have found one minor bug; the "Tomb of Serak" Vulcan Advancement auto finishes on 3 research rather than the required 5. Other than that, honestly having a blast playing this man!

Hi, when i pressed on open culture slots it correctly showed those, but in chat it wrote "open research slots"

@ Zampire2, try playing with single player instead of hotseat. The script can manage the turns without hotseat. My guess is that the script tried to ping a hot seated player color while it wasn't their turn and crashed.
@ Dionysian, try turning off Mod Caching in settings, load the game, then turn it back on. I don't see any missing assets, but several players have reported similar issues. I think it's a steamcloud issue. Reloading with Mod Caching off, is the fix. Let me know if you still have issues after trying that.

Hello - First off thanks for all the time put into this mod, its great. I am trying to play hotseat but have issues viewing the command pannel that passes between players once I end a turn. I have Turns on custom with passing. In my game I took the turn as the first player, clicked end execute phase, that pannel passed to player two and threw an error:

Klingon Turn (Initiative 2)
Hot Seat change to Red.
Klingon Player started their Building Phase.
Error in Script (Global) function
<startLuaCoroutine/PerformStep>: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
Player 2's turn.

When I click end turn from Player 1 to Player 2, I see the control panel in the top of the Klingon sheet, but it is an empty box and I cannot interact with it at all. Is there a fix for this? Thank you!

Got a missing asset error for one of the system disks. Not sure which one exactly but it's from the core box bc we were doing a core-only game.

I vaguely remember something similar happened to me maybe a year ago. I think steam migrated their storage and the addresses ids changed. Nothing would load for me on my laptop for about 3 days. Then it suddenly fixed itself and I haven't had the issue since.

@Stormfall1724, are you using a VPN? If yes, try once without it on.

This is essentially the same thing as Ultimate, but sometimes has newer assets to test with.

I'm not sure what else I can do to attempt to fix the issues on my end as I keep Mod Caching and mod threading off because the laptop I have doesn't have the power or memory to use them, most things I can see an outline for if I scroll the mouse over them but thats about it, any card drawn will display the name but will has no visual items.

The items I am not getting to load include:
- System Disks (unexplored side loads but not discovered)
- Gama System Disks (stack loads, drawn cards show neither side)
- Production tokens
- Consoles (all factions, show just a black square)
- Weapon/Shield sliders (Romulan, Breen, Andorian, Bajoran)
- Fleet cards (Federation, Kligon, Romulan, Ferengi, Vulcan, Bajoran, Andorian, Cardassian)
- Borg Cube card only displays a square from the middle of the top reading "UBE: COMB" and two lines underneath that area
- Trade agreement (all except Breen and Dominion)
- Advancement deck (all except Breen and Dominion)
- Faction specialty cards (all except Breen and Dominion)

Hi Stormfall,
i'm not getting that error message when I load from either of my computers. I see other users have reported a similar error with other mods. It's a weird one that affects some players but not others. Do you know which token/mesh it is complaining about? I might be able to reduce the resolution on it to see if that fixes it for you.
You can try some of the items listed in this thread to see if it clears up.

It's ok to lock nodes in place. The script unlocks them when you attempt to swing a system around. I'll experiment with altering the turn sequence. If it isn't too much work, i'll try to implement an option to play new rules in the current mod. It might have to be a sandbox mode where setup and recharge are the only automated things. Implementing NPC's, especially the Borg into the new turn structure would be too much to handle right now. A sandbox mode would allow you to simply play in any order you wish, and I would only automate the recharge phase. I'm still reading through the rules and trying to grasp everything.

Firstly this mod is amazing. Thanks for making it. I have a few questions. We have a few instances of nodes moving or staking on top of each other while on planets. Is it ok to lock nodes in place?
Secondly, its good to hear your going to update the mod to work with the new rules. In the mean time would you be able to to an optional initiative type to use the Final frontier rules? eg. joint building phase then each player taking one command each in turn.

Yes. I'll probably rename this version as is to Legacy Edition and then upgrade it with all the rules and keep the name Ultimate Edition for the newest content. It'll probably be a while before I receive my kickstarter order of the new version and then get it updated into TTS though.

Hi Evil Kaz. After you click the big "Executive Stage" button on the game panel in the center to start that stage. The panel moves to each player's board in turn order and prompts them to perform their Building Phase, then Command Phase. In their command phase, there's a big button on the panel to "End [Faction] Turn". Ex: "End Federation Turn". Is ihis not the flow you are seeing?

Hi again, The new Hirogen content will take a bit longer to update. For now, I simply fixed the existing Hirogen advancement deck name so it loads properly. Thanks again.

(Lack of testing on my part). There are some new Hirogen updates I received, so I'll try to do both an update and a fix at the same time.

This is Hands Down one of the Best Mods on TTS. The sheer amount of care, scripting, and work that has gone into its creation is simply incredible. Thank you for doing so and for also inputting all the Fan Factions. Genuinely wonderful.

I did some digging - the Hirogen Advancement Cards remain in the "Hirogen Expansion/Components Box"... They arent pulled to the Player Template. They are in the game, but arent put into play

I should clarify what I wrote below. This workshop does not choose when to save to rewind or auto-save the game. I don't think workshops can even modify that setting. It was only printing to chat everytime TTS saved the gamestate (called onSave). I removed this message in this latest upload tonight, but this does not stop your TTS from saving every 10 seconds to rewind. Each end-user must change their setting via the console if they don't want the default (see the command below to do this). NOTE: I believe changing the rewind interval will affect all your TTS games, not just this mod. If you depend/use the rewind button, don't turn it off, but maybe set it to 30 or 60 seconds.

Hi YankeSCZD. I was puzzled by this also, as I have my autosave also set for 300 seconds. Clearly every 10 seconds it was "saving game data". Here's what I found: It isn't the autosave that's triggering, it's the rewind. I had added a "saving game data" print out so I could track how often it was saving. I forgot to remove it before publishing. I pushed out a new version that does not tell you when it saves data for the rewind, but it will still do it every 10 seconds unless you change it. This setting is not available in the menus (only the auto-save interval is accessible that way, the rewind interval can only be adjusted by the console). Hit the "~" to pull up the console and enter: -rewind_interval 0
This will turn off the auto-rewind. Or you can enter -rewind_interval 300 if you want it to be 5 min.

This table is making auto-save every 10 seconds. Any idea what is happening? My auto-save is set up to 5 minutes always. Only this table is freaking out.

Hi Schofldart. TTS sometimes has issues with it's own cache. Open a new game of STA ultimate, click th e TTS Menu button at the top of your screen, then configuration. Uncheck both Mod Caching and Mod Threading. Close the window and then start a game with hirogen. Once you see the advancement cards, and everything has loaded to 100%, go back in and check both those settings back (Mod caching and Mod threading, you'll want them back on later).

Hi ObiJohn. I noticed yesterday that SteamCloud was having some sort of issue. Half the assets in all of my Steam Cloud were coming up as "Forbidden 403". Now everything is back and seems ok. If you are still having trouble loading items, do this: Goto Menu -> Configuration. Under teh GAME tab, uncheck Mod Caching and Mod Threading. Reload the workshop. After all loads up, make sure to go back and turn Mod Caching and Threading back on.

Also, for the Borg Dice, there's a borg dice supply pad right above their Turn Order spot. You can left click drag new Borg Dice out of it to replace any lost/deleted ones. The same for each faction dice panel. Each of these are flat bags that hold the dice. You can left click drag dice out.

Hi Sputnik. Thank you for the feed back, and I am happy to get it. You can quickly click multiple dice buttons to add them together for a single roll. Example: Click 3, then immediately 4, the script will roll all 7 dice together. Each click within 1 second adds to the total. So, for another example, to roll 14 dice, click 10, then 4.
The next time I update the mod, I'll try to include dice buttons on each panel from 1 to 10. The space bar thing is based on player color. The Borg don't have a player color, so it wouldn't work.

The faction dice macro buttons are nice, the 1-6 dice rolls and 10. Could perhaps a 7,8 and 9 dice macro button be added to each? Many times we had blob fleets (as we call the flip side no ability large fleets) in battles, which for most factions is 9 ships. Rather than rolling six dice, then 3 it would be a slight QOL improvement to just click a 9 dice button.

In any event if none of these things are possible or the module is complete and no further work is being done, that's fine. This is a fantastic module and probably one of my favorite two on the workshop that I use. Thanks a million for the work you've done.

I'm not sure if you're still updating and working on this, but just a few things I thought I'd mention as possible quality of life improvements in the future after playing few times.

It's nice how you can hit spacebar to center the view on the current player's console. Is it possible to add this to the Borg when it's their turn? This might not be possible because technically they are not a real player?

Sometimes the Borg dice get misplaced or lost across the table. I had some just just inexplicably disappear. This isn't a module issue but just a TS issue that happens sometimes. The factions next to their dice pools have a button to summon their dice back into their pools for cleanup. Maybe a similar button on the Borg console to return their dice so you can find them in a location?

Hi Sputnik. The constant stuttering is TTS saving the game every 10 seconds so it can auto-rewind. I have the save data so bloated, it causes the stutter.
Here's a work around: Click the "~" at the top of your chat window and type:
-rewind_interval 0
This will turn off the auto-rewind. The game should still auto-save every 5 min if your TTS game crashes.
You can increase the rewind interval to every 60 seconds instead of 10 seconds if you don't want to turn it off. That will reduce the frequency of the stutter.
-rewind_interval 60
Lastly, you can restore the default setting back to 10 seconds:
-rewind_interval 10

I really like the way this is setup but I am having an issue with it. For some reason every 10 seconds the game freeze for a second. It's really annoying and I cannot figure out why it's doing this, it only occurs when I have Ascendancy loaded, none of my other board games I'm subscribed to does this. Is this a known issue with a work around?

Hi 99LvlUps. There's no option for 3d starbases. I had some basic 3d models for the 3 original factions a while back, but I took them out because most factions don't have the 3d models.. I'm have very limited 3d shaping ability, so I haven't tried to convert STL files into TTS for the space stations.
