Multiplayer Won't Work
So me and my friend are trying to use this mod for multiplayer and it's not working on either custom maps or normal maps. Already both port forwarded and both been trying to host all night... any help would be appreciated.=

Did you port forward UDP? I had to set mine to Both TCP/UDP to get my forwarding to work

just a headsup for everyone having such an issue or who has no real IPv4, but only real IPv6 (cable ISPs in germany).

I set up hamachi with a friend and we both added hamachi to firewall exception.

After starting the server, all she had to do is type in my hamachi IP (port is already written) and it will connect successfully.

No need to forward any ports etc.

Only thing is that the Chat didnt work, however i am not sure if its a hamachi thing or if it generally wouldnt work.

As far as I know, that's not normal. The game might have opened a port itself, or you connected through something else, because there has to be a way for the client to go from their lan to the internet, then into your lan and to your pc, unless you were both clients or you were on the same lan.

Before posting a question, pelase check out the FAQ here: https://github.com/DominicMaas/Tango/wiki/Frequently-Asked-Questions

Usage:

Host:
1. If hosting locally (within your network), check that your firewall is open, it hosting over the internet, you may need to port forward. By default CSM runs through port 4230.
2. Either start with a blank world, or open a world and PAUSE the game. If you are playing an existing world, you need to send a copy to every client, (this process will be automated in the future). It's recommended that you start with a blank world.
2.5 Worlds are located here: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\Saves
3. When in game, click the "Show Multiplayer Menu" button and then click "Host", enter your name and an optional server password.
4. You should see a message saying the server has started.

Client:
1. Create a new world of the same type, or open the copied world from the host.
2. When in game, click the "Show Multiplayer Menu" button.
3. Click "Join Game" and enter the IP address, your name, and optional server password.
4. You should see an error message saying that you have connected (and the server should also see the same message).

Same issue here (Telekom in my case) some ISP's donot allow UDP protocolls to be routed over WWW. The Router Blocks every outgoing connection and thus UDP port forwarding is not possible in this case. Tunneling works fine and no issues with chat either.

Hi, I'm currently doing some cleanup. If anything you mentioned still applies in the latest update (today), please raise an issue on the Discord or GitHub (linked in the mod description).
