and it happens when I try to create a new colony. Like, I click new colony, choose my start, and when it generates the world for the first time i get this error and the window doesn't close.
To fix it, go to your Config folder (approximately C:\Users\~yourself~\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon\Rimworld\Config) and find the one for RealRuins, likely called Mod_1552146295_RealRuins_Mod.xml if you installed it via steam.
The line that's causing the problem is
<planetaryRuinsOptions IsNull="True" />
so delete that line before you try again.
