I am not sure what the best way is, I have also seen people creating an extra mod that translates another mod [that way you could easier keep it up to date with new changes] like this:

Hey, so i've never done translation for game developers, but I speak and work with translation of Spanish & French. Would you mind giving me some pointers for how to go about doing what you need?
I would be more than willing to do the stuff but I'm a bit intimidated xD

I finally got around to creating the tutorial-mod ^^ I hope my step by step guide is good enough, but it is not that much work (apart from the translation itself)

The new template-mod can be found here:

(just download it and follow the instructions)

Once you have subscribed to the mod and Steam has downloaded it you should find the mod in your Steam installation:

"\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1828161808\Help\_Readme.txt"
(everything is explained inside of this file)

Also, I don't have any picture editing software or adobe, so I don't have a good way to edit the 'Preview.png' file.

No problem ^^ I can put together a preview-image for Spanish and French.

I threw the readme together quite quickly ^^ so let me know.

Glad you were able to follow the instruction.
(In general translations for other mods would work the same way, you just have to get the right XML-files + the names inside the brackets < .. > and you can generate/check them with Rimworld itself, but that is a bit more involved)

I just put the two images into the example mod (when it is updated) they should be in here:

"\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1828161808\Help\Example Preview Images\"

But maybe the text should be in that language too, let me know.
