You can then store these in specialized storage containers included in the mod and in your colonists free time they can walk up to it and take a book which they will either read at the shelf or take it to a nearby chair and sit in while reading. Reshelving books seems to be hit or miss, so misses generate another haul job for your colony.
The mod makes 2 new recreation types, reading, and practice writing.
Skillbooks can't be produced as far as I can tell, but I have seen them in the trade screen a few times already.
Hospitality guests work fine with the books and typewriting recreation
Prisoners, having no recreation need to begin with, ignore it save Prison Labor with Art work enabled
