Best Difficulty for Campaign vs. Battles
I know that EP recommends VH difficulty and FOTE recommends Normal.

That said, what is the most enjoyable difficulty settings especially for the campaign?

For me, harder difficulty just for the sake of being more challenging is not enjoyable. I want realistic AI behavior that immerses me into the game, rather than AI that declares war on me for drinking water out of the wrong cup.

For Campgaign: Is Hard difficulty more realistic / enjoyable than Very Hard difficulty?

For Battles: I will try Normal but if its getting too easy I can easily increase the difficulty to Hard so my main concern is about Campaign really.

As it stands in the description - Very Hard is supposed to be played for campaign since lower options just give no real challange. That is because Normal and Hard promote player with hidden handicaps + get AI too passive.
Normal for battles but if you want them harder there are no contraindications to play hard or even very hard.


The main purpose of the mod stays also clear - it is not to make you comfortable neither enjoyable because you win for doing nothing but to force your brain to be useful and to express that total war can be something else than just brainless gameplay.
