Nah, you get the materials over time from trading or raiding. You will see traders coming in sometimes with 1 or 2 attomachines, or picomachines or nanomachines, or you will find them when raiding other colonies. Hope this helps!

It really took too long to get strong I ended up flying my space ship before I could build one.

This mod really wasn't meant to be played with if you intend to finish the game as quick as possible. I almost never fly the spaceship off because I just want to keep playing the game, so this mod might not be for you

All you need are, I believe 2 units of Picomachinery and 2 units of Nanomachinery to build one Archotech Bench, found as quest rewards or available for sale from merchants.

After that, keep that supply of steel, components and silver flowing in order to assemble the Nanomachinery, Picomachinery and Attomachinery you will need for more benches and the archotech bodyparts. These modded materials are also very good.

And with a very strong economy, you will find yourself making clothing, melee weapons and even walls out of them. Nanomachine embrasures are wonderful, and so are t-shirts, pants, and swords made out of this stuff. Nanomachinery is also the cheapest of the three.
