Crashes before startup (When loading game)

(June 7th)

ACOT is causing crashing even before getting to the menu.
I am certain it is ACOT (Tested with just ACOT and UI Dynamic)

I also have crashes even before getting into the menu. ive disabled the mod to far

Add me to that list. Just installed, and ctd's everytime. pull it from the playset and all is well.

If your on Linux I have the fix.

Go to game properties, compatibility, and force the usage of Proton Experimental

I have the same problem. Just UI Overhaul Dynamic and ACOT (in that order). I even reinstalled the game and all mods.

For me, Stellaris did not start with Proton Experimental, in addition to external tools like IronyModManager becoming a pain to use then.

I've played this game, with mods, on Linux, for years :/

I suppose that is because acot contains too many things. You know the Stellaris 4.0 is always unstable. Crash is common for such a big mod like acot, giga or mods like this. I also found crashes with acot, but not always crash. Try rebooting ur computer or verifying integrity of game files, that would be helpful.

yup ACOT currently gives a ctd after around 5 in game days. 4.0 apparently butchered the poor mod.

Running on arch based linux game freezes on launch whire running as native, crashes with proton experimantal.

Proton 9.0-4 Runs fine for me.

Yeah I can +1 that with the same distro and trying the same things that it works with Proton 9.0-4 thank you for finding that Oyni
