Yep, I was asking how this occurs. Is it a random amount of time after you research all of the Delta tier tech? Or is there a set reason for why you get the option to get the databank?
You need dark matter/dark energy drawing tech and the dark matter reactor tech. After that you can either border a fallen empire (or conquer one) or have a fractured world in your borders to trigger the start of the precursor databank chain.
That's the only one now. It reads: Evidences of a more advanced technology utilized by the ancient precucursors have been found acros multiple reffrence points accros the galaxy. The Term "Precursor databank" has been used many times. Our scientists believe that this archive must be the key to oppening the keys to the past, an ancient cache of technologies.
But I get no markers nor clues nor anything. What do I do?
I haven't had this happen to me yet. The only thing that I could think of is that the, "Technology Acquisition," war goal wasn't selected. I usually try to buy the databank from the Curators, so... I'm not sure.
Anyways, does the situation log have the dropdown showing you the options to get the databank? Since you fought a fallen empire, won, and didn't get the databank, I'm thinking the war goal might've not gone through? If you can still buy the databank from the curators, I suggest you do that. You need good relations with them, however. The databank purchase option is under the, "Tell us about the Precursors," option in, "Tell us about the past," when talking to the Curators.
I hope this helps.
This is a very old thread and I havent played with this mod in a while. But if I recall correctly, you can make them yourself by bombarding a planet with the... green bombardment option for a fractured world, or the blue bombardment option for an ultrafractured world.
You can bombard enemy planets, and I think there might be a planetary decision that allows you to fracture the planets when you have the proper technology.
If this didnt help, ask in the ACoT discord server.
