is this cannon?
i was just wondering if the story in a clash of kings actually happens in this mod for example does renly get assassinated or does stannis assault kings landing?

There are notable book-related quests:

to kill Renly
to scout behind the Wall (which triggers the Red Wedding)
to free Jaime (although it is somewhat bugged in 8.0)

There are notable events:

Targaryen invasion (though not under Daenerys)
Robbs is proclaimed King in the North
Stannis lays claim to the Iron Throne
Renly lays claim to the Throne
King's Landing is taken by Stannis (poor Myrcella!)
