I left 5 bags of half eaten grain in my companion inventory, i exited the game after a day or so. Came back in, and they were full 50/50 again, all of them.
Edit: just found another one, i left one of the valyrian swords(from tumbleton) in my armory in tumbleton, and it turned into a masterwork arming sword...
