I didn't know you could kill lords in this mod, I thought that was only in woiaf.

ah no, i enlisted in his army, and have been knocking him out with a crossbow, a guide stated this leads to specific lords having a chance of dropping a valyrian steel weapon. however ive done this several times. Plus the guide was for version 2.1 so im wondering if that particular bit has changed. He wasnt dead, he was unconscious, i just dont want to lose too much affinity with him so fast.

Actually, its also quite infuriating that half the time i knock him out, his arms end up stretching infinitely underground, so i cant see what he drops anyway.

...also wish i could quit and reload from battle, reloading the game each time is a bit waity.....

You can remove Renly from the game entirely by taking on the "Crowned Stag" questline from Stannis the mannis

I dont care about killing the lords, i care about a valyrian weapon..that being said, thanks for telling me about a potential quest.

Well, since its been a day and nobody answered, i guess its no longer true. I just dont feel like trying dozens of times for something uncertain.

they dont "drop" valyrian steel swords. you capture a lord that has one, say randyll tarly, and talk to him while hes your prisoner and demand his sword. he gives you it, insults you, and you get -100 relations with said lord but you get a shiny new godslayer

theres only a few lords that actually have one though, unlike the books. Drumm, Corbray, Tarly, Hightower, maybe Celtigar for an axe dont remember. pretty sure you get Dawn from capturing Starfall and you get a couple other valyrian weapons from capturing specific castles/towns

no problem. i think i was wrong about Hightower though, you might need to capture Oldtown actually. possibly the same with Drumm and his castle Old Wyk but Corbray and Tarly definitely carry their valyrian swords on them. Tarlys Heartsbane was the best weapon in the game before but that was in pre 6.0, dunno bout now with different weapon stats in 6.2. used to be able to get Dark Sister from a nights watch quest of some sort but i dunno if its still in the game
