Import/Export Food bugged?
After a lot of experimentation I am fairly confident that the Export Food edict does not change wealth/income/modifiers.
I noticed also that the promised effects vary considerably. Sometimes in some provinces it sayed it would change income by 240%. Othertimes it says 22%. In all cases I could not find any effect.
Also food import mostly cost 5% but sometimes 20% to 30% of the income.

And while I am at it... I could not identify any utility of granaries in balancing the food shortages except for the lame plus 8 food or so it says it provides.

Overall great mod though! Thanks a lot!

(the main thing missing for me is clarity of what is actually going on. Many effects and modifiers and impacts of main buildings on taxation are unclear)

As far as I see it, the granaries improve the food import capacaty of an province.
What startles me is, that the food import edict seems to ad food to the main food income.
To me it would make much more sense, if the amount of food I import to one of my provinces would be taken from the main food income (the imported food has to come frome somewhere, doesn't it?). And so the provinces with high fertility, would actually be as important as they realy were.

Yes, edson, that would make sense. The way it currently is means that it makes sense to issue the import food edict for the upcoming winter and for summer change the edict again. so you have to switch all the time.
overall I think the seasonal drop in food production only makes sense if we can store food. without that, having a food drop in winter is actually unrealistc. A constant food income is more realistic than a seasonal one without storage, because the former simulated the reality of fluctuation+storage better.
Adding more realism isnt always about more complexity, unless you model the complexity in all its complexity, which is difficult. So less can be more...
