It is a bug that is pissing me off, preventing me from enjoying this mod, what is rude about that?? Oh and don't feel the need to answer, I want to discuss the bug, not your insecurities.
It's a beta, give it a rest. You posted this same message on the forums.
You'll take your harsh launguage back if somebody has an explanation? What kind of childlike rational entitled nonsense is that? Good freaking day.
1. That could be a bug, try restarting your campaign if possible, cause I've encountered the similiar problem as you, then after restarting the campaign..nothing happens. (I've seen that diplomatic stuff are quite random each time you start a new campaign whether in the same or different faction that you've chosen before)
2. If that won't work, then you've to build a settlement that provide you with "6+ relations bonus".
3. Or you could increase the control of your family, not quite sure about this (whether it will give any effect), cause dunno why, but in my case every time it decrease below 50% somehow the relations with other faction kindda decrease as well (don't really know about this actually, but worth to give it a try ;-)
4.Otherwise, try researching a tech bonus for "relation with other faction"
5. Alas, if u quite desperate, then try using a cheat engine (lol)
But, in my case though, after restarting the campaign...perhaps like 2 times, well turns out quite good, if you say that's pretty tedious then well I can't say more, cause this's still BETA...
I hope you could find this quite helpfull ;-)
The thing that makes me uneasy about this, is that obviously I can't trust to raid ANY region now, fearing it will give me negative relations with some random faction I have not even encountered yet. Try the savegame and follow the steps as outlined - it's pretty straightforward that this is a bug. I am just not sure whether it is an AE or Attila bug, but I find I cannot use my expensive fleet to raid anymore, because I want to be able to calculate the negative consequences. It was merely by accident that I encountered this, as this isn't logical in any sense of the word.
So faction A and B trade. I make an effort to raid a traderoute and region where as a calculated risk I will not suffer very heavy negative consequences and raid a trade route of A and B near an area which is totally completely occupied by A, no others in sight, and suddenly I incur negative relations with some unrelated faction C. This is not how I want to play the game, this is which was upsetting me. And yes, it's a BETA but this bug does not make sense, and quite frankly, I am rather suspecting Attila to be the real culprit, but not having played native in years, and before also not very much, I don't want to post this in the Attila forums, because they'll rightfully tell me "you use some mod, go there to complain".
