Impossible Barcid Political Influence
Hey I just started playing Ancient Empires and its awesome. This mod makes Rome 2 what it should have been. About 50 turns in to my Carthage campaign (because I love Hannibal) now and although my economy is absoloutely booming once I got the silver mines in Carthago Nova the Barcid political influence is actually impossible to raise due to the fact the Barcids are so outnumbered by the Hanno family. I'm playing on 4 turns per year btw. There's basically Hannibal and his son Hamilcar and that's it, whereas Hanno has got about 8-10 people all able to gain gravitas and therefore wrest control of the council members no matter what you do. It means there are pretty severe tax penalties given to players that they can't get out of. Giving the Barcids more people would solve it just fine. Anyone else have this problem?

You can adopt people of the other family. Or is there a reason you don't want that?

Yea, neither did I, just leaned it in another thread. From what I tested though, as soon as you do that the political problems really begin. Can anyone confirm whether children of someone who adopted are still getting a somewhat negative loyalty when the adoption happened when the children weren't of age?

Let me ask you one off-topic thing: Did you conquer or ally the Baleares and Garamantia? Just because I'm in this situation now, thinking about how to go about it, so I don't regret not having the tax income later but also don't make things too difficult for myself when I am actually having bigger problems.

Allied with Baleares, made Garamantia a puppet once I took their city with Hannibal's army. That turned out well for me because they had to give me tribute but I didn't have to deal with public order problems.

Thank you, sir. Noone particularly likes the Garamantia, so instead of turning north I will pay them a visit. But you had to reduce them to 1 city or how did you puppet them? And did they stay faithful?
