Massive tax drop in winter?
Love this mod. Not seen too many bugs, some recoverable CTD's that's it. Awesome atmosphere. But now come across something I can't seem to understand. How come I suddenly earn 5k in taxes less in the winter? Or is this due to something else? If needed, I can provide the savegame for the turn switch from all-is-well-summer to we're-all-gonna-die-winter.

A significant portion of taxes are based entirely on fertile. Depending on what kind of cities you build it could be anywhere between 1/3 to 1/2 of your taxes being based on fertility.

Thanks! What cities types should I have built so to have less dependence on fertility (as Rome)? Is there a guide about the differences, advantages/disadvantages of the various city types?

If only there was.

However I think they are going to do some rather drastic changes to the buildings and such in the near future.

To confirm, yes. There are major changes in progress (doing my best with an exam also coming up in 4 days). Economy, streamlined building guide UI, and brand new Roman provincial capitals are some of the big changes. Several bug fixes and general balancing improvements will also find theirbway in
