Battle at Campaign Start
Can we please, please, please remove this?

It's a nice feature, sure, and it sets the game up well.

The issue is that whenever the starops is updated, and we want to take advantage of that, we have to fight the entire battle again. It's getting tiresome.

Maybe start things out with the armies next to each other, so we still have to fight, just ya know, not INSTANTLY.

Yes that totally makes sense . Considering that the modders are constantly updating the mod to fix issues , we do not need a battle at the beginning as we need to restart campaign after each updates

maybe make the auto resolve high in your favor so you can skip it or play it. I personally like the idea of a big battle right at the start that really sets the tone for your campaign, but the option to skip it and get right in would be a good addition.

I would suggest waiting a few days or a week if you don’t want to constantly reset your campaign. The mod is still in beta (I think.) So campaign killing updates will probably be common this early on.

It's less an issue of 'we have to restart' as much as 'There's a battle we have to manually fight before we can even SEE what changes the update adds'

You can auto resolve it and still find bugs.

You tend to lose as rome if you Auto that battle. Which is odd. Got attacked by a 16 stack when I had a 4 army garrison. Yet won the auto-resolve

yes auto resolve is not in favor of romans in anyway yet when I actually play it out it takes 5 minutes to destroy hannibals horde of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ swords

Yeah. It's not hard to fight, but it's tedious to do it over and over again.

I did five times and is tedious. But if i do the same thing every time. every time i probe diferents ways of wining i find it more enjoy.
After known the mecanics of the battle i use better my tipes of units. Although the results are always different, I always learn something new in the way I move my troops

You could be learning those new things as you go on with your campaign instead of having to do the same battle over and over again.
I've found a workaround though, if you quicksave before starting the battle. Then load that quicksave. This will give you the option to withdraw from the battle.
