I'm having the same problem!

Figured it out. What you need to do is is lock the gauntlet's bip_lowerArm in your character's bip_lowerArm. Make sure you do the correct arm.

To hide the fingers, you need to right click the character's hand in the animation set editor and click the option to add a scale. Find the scale in the editor and tone it all the way down.
