The skills were changed from REQUIRING to COSTING. And almost all skills use (or will use) their stat as part of their direct damage and utility bonus's. For instance burning blade's armor and burning effects are directly effected by how much hellfire you have..
so while you CAN use any of the others, which is the design to allow more freedom on how you build, you are required to use them strategically if you want to maximize or trivialize their outputs.
And yes, I did mean the Warlock. Sorry!
I did this because I'd been playing up until that point trying out hellfire then nether and not seeming to notice a difference - so went to town to experiement. Of course very hard to track anything that pets do.
