IMO, That takes away from the whole experience as you did not really figure it out yourself. ;p
It's the same with opening them up in mission editor, that's something i count as cheating. (:V)
BUT a lott of people seem to have trouble with some of the missions, so i suppose some weak hinting tips would be fine. ^^
Edit 2023
Go ahead people, don't mind my past self.
- Maybe waiting for a bit more coal wont hurt here.
- Level 1 creatures? Who still uses those?
Mission2
- Hmm, those raven musk Ox seem to not hit so much, but they are hard to kill.
- Hmm, the other animals seem to hit way more, but are kinda squichy. 🤔
Mission3
- Leaving things unprotected might be your undoing.
- Playing the waiting game is not always the right thing to do, but so is rushing.
Mission4
- At least having 2 mining spots at a time might be a good idea.
- Are you sure you need research level IV that early?
Mission5
- Enemy chamber here, enemy chamber there, better destroy +-4 of them before the enemy reaches lvl 5.
- Anti-air towers? Might be handy.
Mission6
- 2 pathways, 1 with low level creatures and main objective, the other with stronger creatures and no objective, should i even bother fighting the stronger creatures for now?
- Again, don't leave things unprotected.
Mission7
- Oh mighty geyser, might i use thee so early?
- What? they attack from that side?? where do those animals even come from.
Mission8
- Defeating one brother before velika reaches lvl 5 is almost a must.
- Having both brothers defeated means you have 2 geysers and maybe more coal to work with.
- Velika gets pretty angry when both brothers are defeated.
Mission9-15
- I'll update this list once they get added. (if needed)
Pretty nice but its still quite easy but at least more challenging (8hours for 8 missions is ok). The reason for this is you can easily trick with enemies or missions. (Stalling time by not meeting the key points in the missions)
For Example Mission 5: U dont clear all of the fire so their creatures lose a lot of life and die easily. Dont clearing all of the fire doesnt trigger the cut scene and they wont attack you that much. There are also trigger points when u go with your creatures to certain points to fight behind the normal cut scene (yeah u can sneak behind with water creatures). If u learn about these certain things and dont trigger those points before you build a big team then all of the mission are easy. (6/7/8 were the most easiest ones) 1-5 is a bit challenging but yes pls finish it :D its much fun
I'd suggest trying to find a bulky melee unit.
(more oriented towards Defence & Health than damage output)
And back it up with some ranged porcupine combinations.
You'll need the melee units to soak up most of the damage dealt to you while the ranged units stay behind them and deal the most damage.
Try to take out the skunk combinations first as you won't be able to use your ranged units for a while if they use the 'defensive cloud' ability. 🙂
I tried slowly amassing an army and going forwards slowly. It was taking ages and it was an uphill battle. I don't fully remember what went wrong here because this was my first attempt and I've tried dozens of times since.
I tried having Rex run towards Chanikov's Lab right at the beginning all on his lonesome. He didn't make it.
I tried rushing the Creature Chamber to the left with Termite-Lemmings. It took around ten attempts, but I finally did it successfully. The Creature Chamber almost was destroyed by it, but it wasn't completely. Then I didn't have enough resources to defend myself from the AI's attacks.
I have yet to successfully destroy any of the creature chambers, destroy the base, nor get Rex to Chanikov's Lab. I have taken the Electric Generator a few times.
I have a couple more ideas for what I might try to attempt, but I'm pretty burned out at this point.
If anyone has any tips, I'd love to hear them. Nothing too spoiler-y though. Just point me in the general direction so I don't need to restart thirty more times please.
You're probably already doing this, but also remember to have 2 henchmen per coal pile and to convert electricity into coal at the workshop.
