a tech where you can move around like in space, but faster, and instead of the swimming animation, it has the wings flapping?

a way to have the Mechs be able to act as though water was space, with the ability to jump out.

Good idea but sorry to disappoint, that's some pretty complex scripting which is something I don't really know about. So I can't really do it.

Thats already a mod, just look up sttike sphere and you should find it.

Ive had an idea for a weapon I could make in starbound but I have no idea how to mod this game myself. would it be possible to make a "Turret staff"?

A staff and then at the top is a small turret like the Twi guns in space, Primary lets you to shoot it in a direction by pointing the staff

Alt fire is you slaming it into the ground (like the ground slam on hammers) but it places the staff as a turret on the ground that can shoot things untill it dies while you use a diffrent weapon , or untill you pick it back up.

I dont know if it would be doable (or easy) but im just throwing it out there.

The only way I could see that happening with my knowledge of modding is having a projectile that spawns an edited twigun that attacks enemies on a staff, I'll look into it, but it might not work in the end.

What if instead I just make a weaker handheld version of the mech plasma drone thing? It would be way easier and have the same effect but it would be near you instead.

interesting but I was basically thinking of a weapon that you can place fixed turrets with... I do think the hand held mech plasma drones are a cool idea though.

hmm if it would be difficult to do the staff, what about a rocket launcher that fires a large gernade projectile that spawns a friendly Twigun at the impact?

thats what I was originally thinking but the problem was my custom friendly twigun would die imediatly after spawning I may have found the issue but I'm working on the plasma drone first seeing as it's closer to being done or maybe not I'm note sure how its gonna end up working.

can't seem to get the drone one to work at all so i'm abandoning it for now. The friendly twigun now doesnt die immeadietly and even detects monsters but it doesn't attack them, so for now I'm doing the sprites.

I'm not exactly sure what a coilgun is, and that seems ridiculously overpowered and hard to script and because of how mech parts work it would take a really long time to add in because all mech parts of one category are in a singular file meaning that you have to patch it instead of making a new file which for me is a very annoying and painful process.

Im thinking mabye a staff called the "Trappers staff". It would have a charge up on right click and would place down a net much like the staff that i totally forgot the name of. On left click it would rapidly fire a slowing projectile that would quarter the speed and bring flying enemies to the ground, the fire rate would be around 2ish seconds. P.S If you can, can you make the slowing projectile kinda look like a net? Mabye something like an animated sprite where a metal ball opens to reveal a net.
