Do derelicts have a purpose?
When a flagship dies in combat, it leaves behind a neutral derelict. Do these serve any purpose? Or, are they simply meant to be removed?

You can board them. You can definitely board them but I've been unable to bring any ships back to "life" in my practice. They're either repairing at a non-existent pace, or something else.
So yes, they have a purpose, but I suppose there are going to be problems with fulfilling it.
