Uninstalled about half a dozen UI mods and this one was still busted. Do NOT install this mod!

So you say... but no one even knows what mods you still have installed. I wonder if you do.

This isn't even my mod, but I can tell you the universal truth. Anytime you are having trouble with mods, provide your log. That's true for any mod in any game. For starbound it would be
\starbound\storage\starbound.log
That will also have a full listing of what mods you use as well as any errors and lots of other info. Most mod authors lack psychic powers and screen shots usually can only provide limited, incomplete information. So copy the log onto Pastebin (or similar site), and leave the link.

Also Sayter may or may not have even seen this discussion. Funny story... Steam doesn't automatically subscribe a mod author to the discussions related to their mod. We (mod authors) need to do that manually. I think most haven't realized this, and may miss discussions. I think most would reasonably assume that we'd be automatically notified when someone makes a new discussion, but Steam doesn't seem to think so?

Uninstalled every UI mod I had and this was still bugged. Uninstalled this and the game worked fine.
Comment section of this Workshop file is filled with people saying this mod is bugged. I'm just making a discussion about it so people see it, since Steam hides the comments on Workshop posts in a small tab.

Again... if we can't see the logs, can we really know if this statement is true? No. Even you don't truly know without checking since
1. People forget ♥♥♥♥, and they make mistakes. People aren't perfect. Our memory is far from perfect. You are a person thus you can make errors.
2. Steam sometimes ♥♥♥♥♥ up. Perhaps something like a health bar mod isn't as uninstalled as you think. Steam was programed my humans.

But without logs, everyone can only speculate what is really true. Mod authors like myself (I'm not the author here) don't ask for logs for no reason. There are very good reasons.

While possibly even true, it is more likely those people are making mistakes like using other UI mods. And frankly, a whole lot of people don't know what they are talking about. I've personally received plenty of "reports" of problems "my mod caused" in areas that mod doesn't even touch - for reasons like "it was fine before I installed this" etc. Correlation does not imply causation. A prime example is - people don't get that mods get updated in the background all the time. Mods that where not a problem before can become a problem.

Human generated reports are inherently unreliable. Logs are full of solid information. No speculation. When people falsely accuse my mod of unrelated crap, I ask for logs. When I get logs, I try to help them narrow down/fix their real problem - even though it isn't really my fault/responsibility. I sometimes do the same on pages of mods that have nothing to do with me - like right now. I don't mind helping people.

Of course some of the time the problem really is one of my mods. Like you and everyone else, I'm not perfect. Logs help me fix ♥♥♥♥.

I have to agree with bk3000. I have managed to troubleshoot problems on my own by checking my own logs. Sometimes all it takes is a google search of a single line to find where the conflict occurs for example. Sometimes its just a matter that a mod was overlooked that had a feature you were unaware about.

We can guess why it occurred but its hard to know what is the real problem without the log. Some of my guesses were spot on as an example, and others I just stared at the mods I had installed going "Duuuuuuuuuh" or had a guess that was way out of bounds once I checked the logs..

I put the mod on and am not having the glitch with the health bar area like you are. It seems like there may be a possible conflict involved on your end.

I checked my logs and literally everything works other than this mod. This mod and this mod alone is bugged and the comment section proves that.

I can 100% tell you that this is caused by a mod conflict. I myself was using a mod called "Enhanced User Interface" alongside this as I forgot that I had it installed, and can tell from how your health and energy bars look in your screenshot- and the fact that Frackin' Universe doesn't change the health/energy/food bars that way, you most definitely have either that mod, or a similar one installed, maybe the Enhanced Party Interface or some such? Either way, it's not Frackin's fault, it works fine for me after I uninstalled the conflict. If you want some actual help rather than to ♥♥♥♥♥ about things you clearly don't know about, you need to post your log.

I love how no log has been posted yet. Also came into this problem and realized Enhanced/Frackin' interfaces were obviously conflicting...

If you have problems Starbound modding, please never Bethesda mod. Thanks in advance. <3

You know maybe the half a dozen other UI mods are causing the issue cause Im quite positive you can just slap half a dozen UI mods together and expect it to work

Why did you have half a dozen UI mods to begin with?
Did you install those mods *after* you made your character?
And after you'd removed those UI mods, did you make a new character to test it on?

Because modding isn't some magical, Plug-n-Play-n-Pull fantasy realm. There are rules.
